Background:
Kanti's childhood started out rather dull, living in a rather dull village, though not in a quite so dull Netherworld. She more or less lived as a street rat, but let's not get into the dark and macabre details of that.

So one day, after scamming somebody out of some money, she found a demon face down in an alleyway. Just as she was starting to rummage through his pockets, he begged her to ensure that the story got out. Was it a real story or just some gossip? Kanti didn't particularly care, she just saw the potential for some money. So after looting the man of his things (including a really nice, swanky camera!), she left the village to head for the city.

Fortunately, she didn't run into any trouble along the way, and found the news rag that the man belonged to. It turned out the story she had looted was worth quite the sum (after some careful negotiations, anyway. She was, quite sadly, not high enough level to push further). However, the whole business piqued her interest, and she somehow got herself employed at the place. At some point, she became partners of sorts with a certain “Kisha” (though it was more like Kanti bossing her around than actual partners), and at times also took to item pirating to grind levels and gear.

Eventually, Kanti would find herself starting a newspaper in a certain Netherworld featuring an Academy... the last rag that ran there had disappeared under mysterious (or perhaps, more accurately, explosive) circumstances, but the prospect of money drove her to ignore the danger. It helped to be rather powerfully equipped as well.

Personality:
Kanti's main motivation is... money. Money money money. Somehow, she's able to make quite a killing with her newspaper stories. That said, she's also rather dishonest and not above basically running her paper as a gossip rag. All in all, she's a typical demon, what do you expect?

She's also very stingy about her money, but she's actually somewhat generous with the employees that bring good stories by rewarding bonuses. She does feel she needs to keep up appearances as a demon, though, so she insists that these rewarded employees either make up a good story of some other source of income or that they don't spend it all in one place or... well, yeah, just don't make it look like it comes from her!

While she's obviously not completely miserly, due to how she treats her better employees, she is still generally rather reluctant to let go of large sums of money. If she's convinced she'll earn more money through spending her money, she would likely go for it. Kanti isn't the type who will go for schemes that trick the less intelligent out of their money, though.

Kanti's personality can be mistaken as bi-polar. One time you might see her happy and cheerful, the other she could be sarcastic and condescending. The latter is generally what she usually feels like, the former is either happy for more money or using her cute appearance to her advantage to get what she wants. In essence, she's very underhanded.

While she is indeed the manager of the paper, Kanti is a hands on sort of person and will also take to the field to get her material. Due to her underhanded nature, she's likely to twist a story she can put out a more "sensational" story.

Also, she has an obsession with mint leaves, either chewing them in a tobacco like fashion or even smoking custom made cigarettes rolled with mint leaves. She won't refuse “normal” mint-based products like chocolate mints, but she will drift toward the weirder end if she has to pick.

Lastly, for some reason, one specific employee (Kisha) has the ability to catch her off guard and make her act at odds with her usual self. Kanti is probably tsundere for her.

Evilities:
Photo Mastery: The ability to take photos while dodging missile massacres and taking upskirt shots from guys who aren’t even wearing skirts while doing so.
Stealth: Kisha’s good at dressing up or being stealthy to get scoops

Overlord’s Anger, Overlord’s respect: She has managed to survive the direct wrathful assault of several embarrassed overlords, suggesting either a tenacity rivaling that of Sapphire’s insanity, or the dumb luck that different characters might be missing.

Item Pirate: The skill to dive into items to steal completely unrelated items and informations of others who are also in items. Also good for leveling and reverse piracy somehow.

Status Screen Hacking: Kanti has mastered the ability to hack her own status screen to change how it displays her name, title, and even her levels (this doesn't change her actual level). She can also do this to another person if it is consensual, but it is more difficult and she's very likely to charge an exorbitant fee for it.

Magey!: She's quite proficient in staves, just like any good mage, as well as... guns? Well, guns are good for keeping distance, which is ideal for mages, right? Right. Also, this covers the obvious spells that Disgaea mages/witches are known for.

Quick Switch: Kanti can instantly switch her gear with but a thought.

Speedy: It never hurts to be fast when you just don't feel like nuking that angry mob.

Financial Expert: Kanti could be a financial advisor if she wanted to be.

Minty Fresh!: Due to Kanti's habits, she is always minty fresh.

Inventory:
-Various weapons (mostly guns and staves) and armor, including very low level gear which she sometimes equips so as to better go along with her status screen hack.

-Black Hole Cannon: Kanti stripped this off some giant robot and had somebody modify it for personal use.

-All sorts of photography and smartphone stuff, including a MyPhone mk II.

-A TOE-Fighter, just like what Kisha has.

-A shiv. When you want to stab somebody and kill them quickly, cutscene style, nothing works better than a shiv. Okay, a lot of things work better than a shiv but- nevermind.

-Various mint-based products.

-Enough Hel to rival that of the typical Overlord.

-A printing press, for printing newspapers

-A web server, for hosting the web-based version of her rag.
